THE DAY I WAS ROBBED
Odarooo!!!, was the last chat with a
wonderful dearest sister and friend from another mother “Temitope Oladapo” just
after I sent her the picture we both snapped together at Oguta, Imo State
during our NYSC year, though I heard to seek permission from her, for me to
sleep, thank God my request was granted, and that was around
11.30PM-12midnight, of which I told her that she should remember to observe her
quiet time prayer (personal prayer).
Who says God doesn’t answer prayer, I need
no one to tell me YES or NO, personally God does answer prayer, immediately, I
ended my chat with her, I also observed my quiet time prayer and slept off, I
guess, I was already in another realm of the world.
The moment I never expected happened to me,
a moment I will never forget in my lifetime, they came in with full force
demanding “where is the money”? before I could realize what was going on I was
booted on the jaw, looking helpless in the midst of four thieves all surrounded
me with gun and cutlass, what more could I have done than to remain silence,
during the thieves conversation with me my parent came out from their room,
they were both shock as well, ironically, one of the thieves asked where is
father? After seeing that me and my father looks alike in seize, my father said
“I’m is father, please don’t harm him, money I don’t have have? If it is book,
its very much, you can pack as much as possible. Immediately, they sighted
where my gadgets was they started packing them all my phones, laptop, tablets
including my wristwatch and also empty my wallet, oh! What a black Thursday, on
checking the time they raided our room, it was between the hours of 2.30AM.
So sad, they murder my sleep, but thank God
they didn’t silence our life, however waiting for the cock to crow, all the
tenant gathered, only to discovered that five out of six tenant were robbed
between the hours of 2AM-2.30AM, hmm 30minutes of robbery, there is God
ooooo!!!
Shortly after the robbery, I began to
reasoning it what if they have shot any of the tenant? Because the last tenant
that was robbed, his wife actually added another year to her age that same day
of the robbery incident, while my father also celebrated his birthday that same
week 16th of May, oh God, we cant just appreciate you enough for
saving us from the snare of Fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
