The Africa Study Bible (published by OASIS International/Tyndale
House, USA, 2017) , the first study Bible developed by Africans with over 2,600
notes written by 350 contributors from 50 countries, will be released with
ceremonial event at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja today June 29 and
Lagos July 1 in Lagos.

the release of this landmark Bible in 2017, all Christians will benefit as they
apply the Bible to their lives more effectively, learn about the church’s
African roots, understand God’s Word, and explore the Bible’s content and
values.
More
than 350 scholars, leaders, pastors, and teachers from 50 countries across
Africa wrote in five languages to produce an “unprecedented” study Bible. It
reveals the truth and beauty of God’s Word through African Eyes. Among 2,600
notes and features in over 2,100 pages, fifty-eight articles include these
topics:
The Africa Study Bible uses the New Living
Translation and includes over 2,600 features such as application notes,
stories and proverbs, touchpoints that link Africa and the Bible, learn notes
that explain basic values and theology, and major theme articles that apply the
Bible to key issues. The Africa Study Bible brings unique African
perspectives to the global church and allows Christians around the world to
better understand God’s Word through African eyes.
Following after the Abuja and Lagos launch events, copies of the
Africa Study Bible will be available in leading bookshops nationwide.
